Our Battle Bascinet is great for SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) or re-enactment. Although it is based on a historical model, combat specialists have modified this helmet turning it into an essential piece for any battle or melee. It provides maximum protection without sacrificing an iota of vision. The visor can be removed quickly and easily if required by removing the hinge pins. The visor also has a locking system that holds it in place when raised. When the visor is lowered it is held closed by a hook on one side and a buckled strap on the other for extra security. Constructed from 14 gauge steel with a satin finish. Features a well-padded lining and buckled leather chin strap.
