Celtic Daggers
The fearsome Celtic warrior would carry a dagger for a multitude of reasons. Primarily, for utility, where it could be used for cutting food as well as other tasks that required the use of a sharp blade. Celtic daggers were also a weapon of war and were used as a back-up weapon if the warrior lost his sword in the heat of battle! The Celts also used anthropomorphic daggers for ritual purposes - the human form being intended to enhance the power of the owner and to bear a talismanic significance.
