The Crusades (1096-1272) were a series of major military actions in the Near East fought between Christian and Saracen armies with the original goal of capturing Jerusalem. Richard the Lionheart was England's most famous crusading King but Edward I also went on crusade before he became king. The Crusades led to the formation of military orders such as the Knights Templar, Knights Hospitaller and Teutonic Knights.
Our Flat Topped Crusader Shield is constructed from 10mm thick wood and has adjustable leather straps and a cushioned pad for the arm. It has a blank canvas facing and edging ready for you to paint depending on your affiliations – Templar, Hospitaller, or maybe your coat of arms? This shield is a little on the light side for full contact re-enactment but is perfect for theatre and film work and great as a display piece.

Deliveries outside the U.K. are usually delivered within 2-10 working days between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
Our main courier is Parcel Force (Within the UK) and GLS within Europe. Shipping is calculated by the volumetric weight of the product(s) ordered. The volumetric weight calculates how much room your order will take up in the courier’s plane/van and a price is worked out accordingly.
