AV043-A

The Repton Hammer, so called because it was found at Repton, was found buried with its owner. Archaeologists think that the owner was probably part of the Great Heathen army who camped there over the winter of 874, having already conquered Northumbria and Mercia. It was found hung around its owner's neck, complete with two glass beads. The beads adorning this hammer are a modern take on the original find.

This pewter piece has been cast and hand finished by Asgard in Scotland and comes with a length of waxed cord and two glass beads.

Pendant Length: 2.5cm
Pendant Width: 1.8cm
Pendant Weight: 2.5g
Material: Pewter, waxed cord, glass
