In 1607 Jacob de Gheyn of Antwerp illustrated a book that was a success at the time, even though its publication was delayed to prevent it falling into enemy hands. The book was called "Van Roers Wapenhandelinghe, Mvsqvetten Spiesser Ende," a manual of uses and exercises with caliver, musket and pike. Based on that book, Marshal Historical made this beautiful piece of armour. It would be an excellent addition to any collector or re-enactor of the Thirty Years War or English Civil War.
