Italian Stonebow
The Stonebow was mainly used for the hunting of birds and small sized game during the XVIth century. Our range of European style crossbows date from the 15th and 16th centuries. They are hand crafted in Italy from hardwood and inlaid with floral decorations. The bowstrings are made from intertwined hemp strings and attached to tempered steel limbs. They feature working mechanisms and can be fired.
Our crossbows are primarily manufactured for display and are not very powerful or accurate. The maximum range of our crossbows is approximately 20 metres on larger models and 10 metres on shorter ones.
