Classic Scottish Dirk
The dirk used during the Scottish Renaissance is an advanced development of the kidney dagger and emerged in this form toward the end of the 16th century. Our classic Scottish dirk has a single-edged blade with a fuller offset toward the back edge. Turned to fit most hands very well, the grip is made of hardwood and the decorated, riveted pommel is made of steel. The scabbard, on the other hand, is made of leather. Its mount and chape are made of metal, and it also has a device for attaching the whole ensemble (dirk and scabbard) comfortably to a belt.
