Miniature Close Helm
The Close Helm first appeared in the 16th century and was still in use during the English Civil War. It was popular both on the field of battle and in jousting tournaments. Some of the finest Close Helms to be crafted in England were made at King Henry VIII's Royal Almain Armoury in Greenwich.
